You are, of course, absolutely right to be very cautious of your fine china, as well as your personal sensibilities. While it is the right of the boy to put requirements into any term of service, it is, of course, your right to refuse. This is your home, after all. Should you require an outfit, please do not compromise your own sensibilities. You put your domicile and reputation at risk.

Often, should such a thing as nudity be a requirement, it indicates the factor of arousal into a servant's mindset. With such a factor, the chances of breakage, poor standards of cleanliness, and even rudeness do go up. Afterall, there is the high chance that at least a percentage of the boy's attention and focus will be on his arousal, rather than your china.

You mention he comes with references. Has he performed the work at the other location that you would be looking for him to perform at yours? Do you have any earthenware or more common dinnerware that he could practice on, earning the right to further responsibility?

And as far as finding a girl, might I make a final suggestion? Even if you do take the boy on, there is no reason you could not engage the services of a girl upon finding an appropriate candidate for the position. You could even put her in charge of the boy, tasking him and inspecting his work. He is coming to you at no charge after all, and no one makes a finer majordomo than a girl who is eager to please her Mistress, and has been shown the rudiments of the cane as well.
