I know my dear Miss Schnookums has been enjoying a certain strain of fan literature regarding Harry Potter characters. Delightfully wicked, from what I hear. My most recent read was an issue of a literary journal titled 'Smut'. It had some very nice stories.
What have the other esteemed ladies been reading? Or do you keep yourselves to the lacemaking?

Tue, August 9, 2005 - 1:14 PMI rather like taking my time with that sort of book. It alows one to savor the literary juices, so to speak. -

Re: Favored Literary Material?
Tue, August 9, 2005 - 1:18 PMAs for my own reading material, I find it quite distracting, especially at work. Today I have determined not to overwhelm myself and only allow one chapter.
Professor Snape is such an exacting character. Before dailing in this online world, I never would have dreamt of the deviant thoughts flowing around that dark mind. And such a powerful wand he has! The whole story makes me long for my days back at Miss Pomeroy's School for Girls.
Forgive my curiousity, but Althea, where were you educated in the fine feminine arts? -

Wed, August 10, 2005 - 12:05 PMAh, the fine feminine arts? I went to the Penitent Reform Academy for Young Girls. My knees still have scars. -

Wed, August 10, 2005 - 2:46 PMReform school? How interesting. And tell me, dear, did it straighten out your character? -
-
Re: Favored Literary Material?
Wed, August 10, 2005 - 11:34 PMOh, I assure you. It ironed out some kinks, but I can't say that it straightened everything out. That is something that only hard work and backbone can do for you.

Re: Favored Literary Material?
Wed, August 17, 2005 - 3:29 AMHas anyone read the book by Guillaume Appolinaire called "Les Milles Verges?"
It's quite disgusting and depraved, but I couldn't help myself.
Diderot also wrote a dirty book called "Les Bijoux Parlants" about talking cunts.
Otherwise, I'm quite fond of 19th-century tales of well-endowed hunchbacks and vicieuse schoolgirls. -

Re: Favored Literary Material?
Thu, August 18, 2005 - 11:41 AMOh, Lola, I just adore hunchbacks. When I read "the Hunchback of Notre Dame" at Miss Pomeroy's, I had to mask my excitement in class. Sadistic priests and torture scenes, oh my. Pass me a crumpet, dear. -

Les Onze Mille Verges
Thu, August 18, 2005 - 12:52 PMYou've a crumb on your chin darling, I'll get it for you.
Mmm. Yummy.
I found the text of the Apollinaire book. Not les Mille Verges, but "les Onze Mille Verges."
www.arlindo-correia.com/les_on...es.html
French people who purchased this book also liked "Le Con d'Irène," (Irene's Cunt) de Louis Aragon. I`ll have to look into that.
Anyway, Apollinaire's book is quite hard core and violent. It makes "American Psycho" look like "Snow White." -
